The Selling Partner Communities and Satisfaction (SPCS) team builds lasting connections with and among our Amazon Selling Partners. Our organization helps drive their success and ensure that public perception mirrors the reality that Amazon's stores are a great place for our Selling Partners to build and maintain thriving businesses. The brand creative team is responsible for driving the overall SPCS original content strategy, with the goal of shaping a world-class Communities experience that Amazon sellers are proud to be a part of.

We are looking for a senior content editor with global experience editing and refining video, audio, imagery and written content for our selling partner audience. The right candidate will possess a strong passion for overseeing both creative visuals and writing assignments to ensure all updates are made as part of the production process. The individual must demonstrate a robust understanding of creative and content structure, follow SPCS content processes and messaging strategy, copy editing, visual editing and bar raising on deliverables to insist on high quality standards.

This role requires strong editing (visual and copy), interpersonal skills, time management, and attention to detail. You must have content marketing, creative services and/or editorial experience. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, working with content writers, content producers, and video editors on story assignments. You will handle proofreading, re-structuring and editing of visual, audio and written content for our Big Rocks, product groups and our SIM content request.

The Senior Content Editor will own the editorial content calendar for SPCS. The candidate will partner with product teams, creative, research and other key stakeholders to ensure a unified content experience and consistency in messaging and visual framework. This person will influence editorial decisions, partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholder groups, and implement a world-class editorial review process.

Key job responsibilities

*Editing written content (this includes proofreading and re-structuring content developed for our SPCS teams and SIMs received for SPS teams)

*Editing visual content (this includes video edits, imagery edits, design edits) for our creative work

*Reviewing all creative assets to ensure guidelines and high standards are met (and partnering with the graphic designers, producers and/or video editors if changes are needed)

*Managing/owning all updates for the SPCS Universal Editorial calendar

*Collaborating with writers, content producers, video editors to better understand content assignments and key drivers that inform content and creative decisions from our selling partners perspective and leveraging findings to ensure the highest quality in our editorial review process

*Own delivering on complex projects on tight deadlines.

*Evangelize content and creative standards that reflect the voice of SPCS and our selling partners.

*Following the brand guidelines when editing messaging

*Focus on both the end-to-end and tactical components of the content/creative experience and collaborate in an environment that is global and cross-functional.

*Use a combination of data analysis, end-user research, and content audits to make key editorial decisions and orchestrate quality development in our creative/content processes

*Collaborate with editors across SPS on best practices and share on-going learnings with content/creative stakeholders

About the team

The SPCS content team was created in November of 2021. We are a growing group looking to change the way Amazon connects, educates, informs, celebrates and inspires our selling partners.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Arlington, VA, USA


- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Content, Communications, Journalism or related field

- 5+ years of experience working in content development, marketing or editorial roles

- Strong understanding of content marketing processes; from ideation through implementation

- Strong Attention to detail/ working with Content Writers/Producers

- Understanding of content writing best practices for online and offline channels

- Experience presenting to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders

- Demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to drive results, recommendations, and evaluate outcomes

- Ability to work under tight timelines with minimal supervision


- 5+ years of editorial experience working with global brands and/or ad agencies

- Knowledge of working with brand strategy and creative guidelines

- Proven ability to influence and obtain buy-in for editorial ideas

- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
