AWS Marketplace is looking for a Sr. Business Development Manager for Startup Programs to contribute to grow the portfolio of Startup software providers on AWS Marketplace. Successful applicants will have product management, program management and business development experience and well as an understanding of different Marketplace software categories, and experience with Startup software firms. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and executing the design, implementation and launch strategy of new programs designed to help Startup software vendors sell their products to AWS Marketplace customers. The ideal candidate will be someone who is deeply excited about enabling startup growth, and implementing and managing new programs in an evolving space. In addition, the ideal candidate will possess both a program management and business development background that allows you to invent new ways for software vendors to leverage AWS Marketplace as a sales channel. You will have a demonstrated ability to think about both business and technical challenges, with the skill-set to drive tactical execution of sales and business development goals.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Design and implement new programs to meet the needs of AWS Marketplace customers including both Startup Sellers, and Marketplace Buyers who are looking for Startup solutions. Includes creating launch, and annual goals for each implemented program.
Manage communication between the Marketplace Business Development and Product Management organizations to gather requirements for building and implementing Startup programs.
Collaborate with other AWS teams including the AWS Partner Network, relevant AWS BD Organizations, AWS SA teams, AWS Marketing, AWS Legal and Tax, and other AWS Service teams to gather input and support for Startup programs.
Plan and execute all aspects of Seller recruitment, onboarding, participation and successful launch of new Marketplace Emerging Programs, including managing complex contract negotiations and new vendor-onboarding tasks.
Manage Startup accounts who launch a product on Marketplace on an ongoing basis, continuing to help them achieve their sales goals.
Manage communication between AWS Marketing, Product and relevant Engineering Teams during and after the launch of the Program.
Work with the AWS Marketplace Business Operations team to successfully build Program Documentation, Support and Training materials for all internal and external stakeholders.
Design and implement Go-To-Market programs - develop compelling audience-specific messages and tools (product videos, customer success stories, demos, whitepapers, presentations, how to guides etc.) and evangelize AWS MP through communication channels such as AWS Blogs, Whitepapers, Reference architectures and Public-Speaking events such as AWS Summit and User-Group events
Work with the broader AWS teams to develop solutions that customers can procure and deploy through AWS MP
This position will be located in Seattle.
