Job Description

An exciting role is available at America's Socially Responsible Bank! Amalgamated Bank is seeking a Client and Outsourcing Support Administrator to support the Trust Middle Office in working with the Bank’s outsource partner, FIS, providing trust and custody services. This role willprovide support and assistance to Trust Middle Office employees using the FIS technology implemented for this process, including their inquiry, reporting and input software.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Submit various requests to FIS, including password resets for the Bank’s online portal for Trust clients
  2. Assist the manager working with FIS and their different systems, partners and suppliers, including systems for inquiries and instructions, custody reports as well as their corporate actions, fund accounting, print services, performance, withholding tax, and pricing file systems and vendors
  3. Monitor SLA’s (service level agreements) and KPI’s (key performance indicators) with FIS. Assist manager with reviewing reports to make sure that all global custody and investment management processes meet the contractual SLAs and KPIs
  4. Review and distribute information about changes and upgrades to FIS software
  5. Submit request for new client accounts and portfolios, including affiliations, including proxy, corporate actions and other affiliations. Submit requests for portfolios to be added to or removed from securities lending
  6. Assist the Client and Outsourcing Support Manager with the review of the FIS statement tracker report and anticipated statements, determine which statements need to be held and statement frequency, statement production date, investigate missing prices for statements, and generate quarterly MEPT and annual statements
  7. Assist the Department Manager with filing reporting with appropriate agencies, including submitting 5500 schedule C reporting for client statements
  8. Assist with the production and review of tax reporting to clients and the IRS and file withholding reports with the IRS
  9. Review corporate actions and income as processed by FIS. Monitor remaining fund in for accounts that are closing
  10. Support the implementation of new service and processes provided by FIS, either through new solutions or by updates and changes to existing software
  11. Assist the Trust Outsourcing Services manager with the fee billing process, including fee billing set up, the review of fee billing schedules, defining the fee billing calendar, and the review of actual fee billing and fee projections
  12. Comply with existing operating policies and procedures
  13. Provide general support to the Trust Client and Outsourcing Support Manager in researching and resolving customer inquiries and other daily activities
  14. Ability to provide reasonable coverage and backup for teammates/colleagues including those on cross functional teams during planned and unplanned time off
  15. Perform various administrative duties as directed by management

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  2. Excellent analytical skills
  3. General knowledge of securities industry’s policies and procedures
  4. Comprehensive knowledge of the global custody industry
  5. Good oral, written and interpersonal skills
  6. Excellent knowledge of computer software applications (MS Word, Excel, Access)
