We are looking for a key player to join our Alteas Health team as a Quality and Implementation Manager in our senior health facilities. This is a remote position with travel. Someone who is energized by collaborating with leadership and staff to assess, plan, develop, implement, facilitate, evaluate and revise educational programming for all levels of APP personnel and non-medical personnel as indicated or requested should definitely apply! Educational programs typically include but are not limited to orientation, continuing education, and in-services.

What are the must haves (aka minimum requirements)

  • Current and valid Nurse Practitioner licensure or equivalent
  • Multistate licensure in any of the following states: IL, IN, KS, MO,WI and OH
  • 3 years of clinical educator background
  • Experience in education program design and evaluation.
  • Valid State/Board Certification
  • Valid Driver’s License, and access to reliable transportation

Tell me about the job duties (aka key responsibilities but not all encompassing)

  • Collect and assess data and information related to education needs and other pertinent situations, including identification of trends, issues, and supporting data to determine a comprehensive education program for assigned units/clinics including classroom, clinical experiences, and
    learning technologies.
  • Assess, plan, develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive education programs to meet the orientation and ongoing competency needs and professional development needs of clinical providers including classroom, clinical providers.
  • Ensure clinical operation is complying with state, federal, and governing body training requirements (OSHA, HIPAA, Nursing and Medical Board).
  • Provide consultation to enhance continuing education, professional development opportunities and mentorship opportunities.
  • Develop and deliver/coordinate other educational programs as directed (e.g., Grand Rounds, in-services, continuing education, job-specific and specialty curricula) to support competence and professional growth of Alteas Health Providers.
  • Develop curricula that is reflective of evidence-based practice and uses the appropriate methods of teaching to accommodate learning styles and the learning environment.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new services, projects, and facility starts.
  • Plan, develop, and evaluate the preceptor program to enhance the orientation process and the retention of staff. Provides leadership to preceptors and serves as a role model through educational programs and ongoing coaching and mentoring.
  • Participate in continuing education and Utilizes ANNP/ANCC criteria to assess needs, plan, implement and evaluate continuing provider education.
  • Participate in continuing education & activities to keep abreast of the changes to the ANCC/ANNP criteria, the policies/procedures.
  • Partner with supervising physicians to schedule quarterly training in-services, connect new hires with an introductory meeting, shadowing, & meet and greets with their supervising physician.
  • Partner with clinical leadership and assist with hands on training in all regions when necessary
  • Assist with reviewing necessary reports to determine areas of improvement.
  • Assist with PRN facility staffing needs for planned PTO if the time is appropriate.
  • Perform BLS scheduled training (after completion of certification).
