Factory Acceptance Test Technician III

In this role the Factory Acceptance Test Tech 3 will:
Verify project construction according to prescribed standards, practices and project circuit plans by performing layout verification, point to point, vital and non-vital circuit break down and operational testing on both relay and microprocessor based systems.
Verify corrective action in the signal system, meeting or exceeding the standards and expectations of the customer
Complete documentation for testing, including procedures and forms prescribed by either Alstom standards or the customers' standards
Assist in the design and manufacture of test fixtures
Troubleshoot systems failures to the appropriate level and verify correction of problem
Exercise document control on approved signal plans and bill of materials (BOMs)
Follow the prescribed instructions for testing Signal Systems
Ensure complete documentation of test records
Associate's Degree in Electronics from an accredited university or college (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 3 years of related experience)
- Minimal travel required
Bachelor's Degree in Electronics from an accredited university or college
Previous Railway Signaling experience
Experience Microsoft Office Products (Word / Excel)
Familiarity and experience with operational testing of Signal systems
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to interpret plans
Ability to work under minimal supervision
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Knowledge / Experience with Fluke multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Triplett meters and Analog meters
