Reports To: Sales Manager AND Agency Principals
Purpose of Position:
The Sales Producer is vital in the generation and growth of new business as well as the maintenance and enriching of the Agency’s current book of business. A positive, self-motivated, professional individual, with a proven track record of success in sales is essential. Maintaining the highest degree of relationships between the customer and the Agency as well as providing support to other departments is imperative. This is sales individual who is responsible for driving external new business while enriching the existing book of business by actively targeting existing customers through customer lists, mailings, telemarketing, etc. This individual is responsible for increasing the Agency multi-line household ratio, increasing Agency Allstate Financial Services penetration, while driving new clients. Key sources of business include cross-sales, referrals, working existing customer lists, telemarketing, maintaining outside business relationships, etc. Implementation of Agency processes is used to develop outside relationships and attract new clients to Agency.
Property & Casualty and Life & Health License is required.
Minimum Expected Results:
Determined by Agency Principal. Evaluated and adjusted annually or when a strong business case warrants. Currently expectations are:
P&C: Solo new issued items – 20 Allstate Standard Auto or Commercial Auto .
Commercial- 2 items/ policies
Financial: $1000 in Life Premium or 2 applications.
Completed Customer Referral Forms: 8
Completed Customer New Business Questionnaires: 10
New Standard Auto/ Commercial Quotes: 100
Outbound Calls: T.B.D.
Maintenance of at least 3 productive relationships with outside business builders. This may include mortgage companies, realtors, automobile dealerships, apartment complexes, etc.
- Present and sell company products and services to new and existing customers
- Prospect and contact potential customers
- Reach agreed upon sales targets by the deadline
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints
- Set follow-up appointments to keep customers aware of latest developments
- Create sales material to present to customers
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
- Familiarity with CRM platforms
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Strong negotiation skills
