Job Description

Well established General Contracting Firm of over 60 years is looking for that unique commercial construction project superintendent who is looking to join an experienced team to enhance their belief in timely project completion utilizing traditional principles and values in all business relationships. This is a full-time permanent position located in Kansas City, Missouri.

  • Responsible for day-to-day field activities to ensure that the project requirements and overall scheduled completion date is met
  • Creating short-interval look-ahead project schedules that make sure that upcoming events are communicated, tracked and are being proactively attended to

  • Anticipates and identifies project issues and risks, proactively communicates those along with presenting solutions to project team for resolution

  • Is organized and produces documentation that can be easily understood by a third party.
  • Maintains thorough understanding of project documents including subcontractors “scopes of work”.

  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Ability to coordinate work with project stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner.

Other Requirements

  • Good written and speaking skills.
  • Computer skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Good negotiating skills.
  • 10-hour minimum OSHA certification.
  • Ability to interact with a variety of individuals with diverse educational, cultural and geographic backgrounds.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • All applicants will be subject to a criminal background screening as a condition of an employment offer.

Salary
