Job Description

Job Title: Engineering Technologist II

Location: Malvern, AR

Duration: 6 Months

 

Our client has a need for an Engineering Technologist II. If you have the background we are looking for, and you are interested in an opportunity to get your foot in the door with a leading company, we want to talk with you!

 

Description:

Interaction with customers both virtually and in person as needed.

Conducting and assisting in field inspections including taking photos, making dimensioned drawings, and filing all collected information in appropriate EFiles.

Must learn Shoreline Management guidelines and department specific software (ArcMap, ESMS, Access

Database) and must be able to maintain and update spreadsheets in excel and RDBMS.

Review and evaluate files for completion of process and complete files as needed.

Administrative duties including but not limited to data entry, copying, printing, and filing.

Draft letters and prep completed work for mailing.

Support Shoreline Management and hydro operation goals and objectives.

Individual will also be editing and creating maps in ESRI – ArcMap 10.5.1 software environment.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Individual will need to have excellent oral and written communication skills and have demonstrated

Ability to perform quality detail-oriented work

Learn new computer-based systems

Work with the public/customers

Be a problem solver and employ critical thinking skills

Be self-motivated, work, independently but also function within a high-performance team, and learn to follow regulations and guidelines specific to this department

Worker is expected to ensure accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, work activities.

Prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches.

Strives too continually improve job-related, technical, and professional knowledge, skills, and performance.

Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities.

Maintains accurate records and files.

Supports the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally.

Ability to deal with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.

Understanding of basic principles of project management

GIS editing and cartography experience with ESRI ArcMap 10.5.1 software is desired but not required.
