Currently, Alliant seeks a Patient Services Manager to direct a professional, multi-disciplinary, multi-function work team responsible for supporting. the ESRD Contract Goals. Under the guidance of a multidisciplinary medical review board, the PSM promotes patient and family engagement through education and focused, patient-led activities; provides clinical quality improvement assistance; responds to individual patient concerns; conduct emergency response functions in disasters; and support high quality information exchange between providers and CMS. The Manager supervises day-to-day activities inclusive of tasks, cultivates relationship with key stakeholders, health agencies, provider groups, and serves as a point of contact for the community; works closely with leadership, staff, consultants, other internal departments and external customers, partners, and stakeholders to successfully meet and exceed CMS’s expectations for the Medicare contract.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversees the planning and evaluation process of projects
  • Develops patient educational materials focused on disease management and patient engagement to ensure appropriate health literacy
  • Manages the grievance process to include adequate investigation and resolution
  • Serves as the primary contact person for facility staff in addressing disruptive/abusive behaviors, at risk and involuntary discharges
  • Conducts onsite investigations of grievances as appropriate
  • Prepares materials for website outreach to patients and works with marketing to get information/materials updated on website
  • Coordinates educational webinars and materials for staff
  • Conducts monthly audits of patient and facility contacts to identify and address trends
  • Brings a commitment of quality to all teams by identifying customer expectations, practicing process improvement tools and techniques, committing to continuous learning, communication, and teamwork development, analyzing problems, and offering innovative resolutions/approaches and building positive working relationships
  • Manages team and is responsible for hiring, onboarding/orientation, training, coaching, evaluating, corrective action etc., May assist management with recruiting and training other team members

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Work in close collaboration with other team members to support the development of new projects and the continuous improvement of the overall work of the team
  • Promote core values of teamwork, professionalism, effective communication skills and positive attitude
  • Maintain security and confidentiality of all information in accordance with HIPAA laws and regulations and company policies
  • Demonstrate compliance with company corporate and departmental policies as evidenced by attendance, punctuality, and dress
  • Perform other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of business and management practices associated with targeted provider settings. i.e., ESRD Facilities, Hospital, Nursing Home, Home Health and Physician Office
  • Knowledge of Federal and State Medicaid and Medicare programs
  • Knowledge, skill, and ability to collaborate with team and manage people
  • Knowledge of and commitment to process improvement methodologies
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with self-directed work teams
  • Ability to handle multiple activities/projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Proven success in preparing and delivering presentations to both small and large audiences
  • Computer literate with Intermediate-Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams, and Internet
  • Ability to travel by driving or flying to Company locations, customer events or meetings or other locations as needed

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING:

Required:

Master’s degree in Social Work

License Social Worker, preferably in compact or assigned states

• Minimum five years’ experience working in ESRD

• Minimum five years' experience working in a management capacity

• Expertise in quality and safety of care and performance improvement disciplines

• Expertise in social and behavioral sciences including human factors disciplines

Preferred:

  • Healthcare, government and/or nonprofit experience

This position is based out of Dallas, TX and can be remote in the states of AL, MS, TN, and TX. Alliant offers work/life balance and excellent benefits.
