Our client is seeking a Contractual Compliance Specialist to work at their location in Durham, NC. This is a 12-month contract position.

Accountabilities:

  • Identify, collect, research, and analyze documents to enable the capture of material restrictions and obligations in proprietary software
  • Identify, collect, and assemble relevant information needed for more complex or large clearance projects
  • Process acquisition and material movement requests in a timely manner. Provide individualized guidance and accurate reports for each request to business stakeholders
  • Contribute as a member of a global cross-crop and cross-functional team to designing, implementing, and continually improving processes and associated IT solutions to support Contractual Compliance globally
  • Maintain data for Key Performance Indicators

Knowledge, experience & capabilities:

  • B.S. or B.A. degree in a relevant biological field (agriculture, plant breeding, genetics, molecular biology, biotechnology or related).
  • Expert with MS Excel. Skilled in Sorting, Filtering, use of Pivot Tables and Charts, use of VLOOKUP and other functions. Skilled in working with Excel files with 250,000 rows and 100 columns
  • Experience with databases, dash boarding and reporting tools (Tableau), or project management software (SmartSheets) and data management is beneficial
  • Proficient with Adobe Acrobat

Critical experience:

  • Experience with proprietary or commercially available plant breeding support software
  • Licensing or other contract related experience and knowledge of intellectual property rights in plants and plant-related technologies is highly beneficial
  • Strong familiarity or experience with agribusiness and the seeds lifecycle is highly beneficial. Germplasm, biotech, and native trait development; product evaluation; seed production; supply management; and commercial operations
  • Strong research experience in any area (scientific areas preferred)

  • Able to learn and effectively use new, potentially complex, enterprise-level software
