HR Assistant – Temporary Position 

Allen Institute is seeking a HR/HRIS Assistant to join our exceptional team for a 3-5 months limited assignment.The HR/HRIS Assistant will coordinate data entry, reporting, and support for all HR data and systems at the Allen Institute. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage data entry and integrity across HRIS and Payroll Systems

  • Troubleshoot, audit, and resolve data issues as needed

  • Generate HR reports and analytics.Maintain HR metrics for quarterly business reviews and executive reporting

  • Support a variety of organizational reporting requests and PowerBI metrics by researching, collecting, analyzing and summarizing data

  • Participate in cross-functional teams with HR, Payroll, Finance and IT where HR data and systems are affected

  • Ensure conformance with established business processes and applicable regulations, including Federal and Washington State sensitive data privacy laws

  • Participate in special projects

  • May perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications: 

  • High School education or equivalent required.

  • Two or more years of HR Service Center data entry, reporting and/or systems experience required

  • One-year experience creating and maintaining people reports, analytics and metrics

Additional Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, human resources or a related field from accredited college/university preferred

  • Two or more years of experience with Oracle HCM Cloud, including reporting

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookup and other advance functions and formulas

  • Proficient with business intelligence reporting and metrics, PowerBI preferred

  • Working knowledge ofMicrosoft Office 365

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with customer orientation

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to work both independently and collaborate with a team

  • Ability to maintain a strict standard of confidentiality in handling sensitive information, reports, and correspondences

  • Willingness to perform unglamorous tasks along with the fun stuff

Working Environment: 

  • Sitting or standing for up to 8 hours a day

  • Fine motor skills to operate general office and computer equipment for up to 8 hours a day

  • Visual acuity to discern and comprehend data and information for up to 8 hours a day
