We’re seeking a detail-oriented individual with experience leading teams through large website redesign/build projects on CMS platforms such as Drupal, WordPress or Sitefinity. The candidate will be able to flawlessly manage multiple large-scale projects and priorities at one time, and demonstrates genuine curiosity about clients' needs, including the ability to propose strategic digital solutions that align to client needs, and has a proven track record of client satisfaction.

Allegiance Group is looking for a Director of Project Management to support our technical web projects for our nonprofit and association clients, strategically consult with our clients and serve as a personnel manager.
We’re seeking a detail-oriented individual with experience leading teams through large website redesign/build projects on CMS platforms such as Drupal, WordPress or Sitefinity. The candidate will be able to flawlessly manage multiple large-scale projects and priorities at one time, and demonstrates genuine curiosity about clients' needs, including the ability to propose strategic digital solutions that align to client needs, and has a proven track record of client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Plan overall roadmap for large website redesign engagements.
- Handle day-to-day communication and management of multiple complex, large scale digital projects, and prioritize effectively
- Serve as primary client contact; facilitate and actively contribute to client meetings and workshops, including technical scoping and planning
- Develop and manage project scope, budget, resourcing, and project plans
- Collaborate with team members to develop project documentation including information architectures, wireframes, and business requirements.
- Prepare financial reports and status reports
- Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase
Consulting
- Consult strategically with clients on web/digital solutions, helping to clarify project vision, inform decisions based on project goals, and ensure decisions are in alignment with digital best practices
- Able to lead consulting conversations around key elements of full website redesigns i.e., audience research, site/user goals, KPIs, features & requirements, content strategy, SEO and analytics tracking.
Personnel Management
- Directly manage a team of 3 technical project managers
- Conduct quarterly reviews to set goals related to skill development and career paths
- Act as a mediator to support your team members in resolving conflict
- Lead onboarding trainings for new employees on your team
- Monitor staffing levels, productivity and utilization
- Collaborate with VP, Delivery to optimize and standardize processes
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven leadership skills
- Agency experience required, experience with nonprofits or associations a bonus
- Ability to manage project teams of 5-10 people
- Experience growing and building client relationships as reflected in retention and upsells.
- Direct personnel management experience
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills/time management skills
- Ability to work independently in a team environmen
Other desired skills:
- Familiarity with web features, content management structures, and redesign/migration phases
- Experience managing website content migrations
- Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or related project planning tools
- Advanced Proficiency in JIRA or other technical ticketing tool
Education/Experience
Required
- 7+ years project management or team lead experience on digital projects
- High School diploma or GED
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree or higher, preferably in business, marketing and/or other relevant program
