Lighting Project Spotter

*Position will require travel for up to six weeks at a time beginning with the first day of work.

Pay Grade: $14

Position Summary: Assist with Service, repair and/or install indoor and basic outdoor commercial lighting systems, including troubleshooting, parts replacement as needed. Must interact well with the customer, in a professional manner to help establish LMS as the exceptional lighting service company in our region. Work as part of the entire LMS team, being flexible in work assignments, reliable and keeping in mind the best interests of our customers and the company. Majority of work will require constant travel and graveyard shift, but candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule including day shift as required for some jobs. Travel is required for up to three weeks at a time. Up to 70hrs a week and/or up to 14hrs per day. Must be willing to work hard, No lighting experience is required, but must demonstrate mechanical aptitude.

• Minimum age of 21 years’ old

• Proficiency in customer interfacing.

• Capable of working on their own with little or no supervision.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills,

• Mechanical aptitude.

• Current driver’s license with a clean driving record (a few minor tickets are ok)

• Ability to get and hold a DOT medical card (company paid for)

Field Description

Frequently Climbing, ascending or descending from a ladder, stairs scaffolding, etc. Frequently Bending or stooping; bending downward and forward by bending spine at waist or by bending leg/spine. Frequently Twisting; tuning the upper body while maintaining a stationary at lower body position. Frequently Kneeling; bending at the knee to come to a rest on knee or knees Frequently Crawling; moving about on hands and knees or hand and feet. Frequently Reaching; extending hand(s) and arm(s) overhead, lower or horizontally of the body. Frequently Standing; particularly for extending periods of time. Frequently Sitting; particularly for extending periods of time. Frequently Walking; moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. Excludes walking to/from work area or cafeteria, etc.

Frequently

Lifting; raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. Identify amount of weight regularly lifted: ☒ up to 10 pounds ☒ 10 – 25 pounds ☒ greater than 25 pounds Continuously Fine Hand Manipulation; fingering, picking pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand a in a handle.

Pushing/Pulling; using upper extremities to press against something with a steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward or to exert force in order to draw, haul, or tug objects in a sustained motion. Frequently Grasping; applying pressure to an object with the finger or palm

Talking; expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must be convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly or quickly.

Hearing; perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking level with or without correction.

Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make the discriminations in sound.

Seeing; required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and reports; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive inspection involving small defects, small parts, operations of machines (including inspection) or to make general observations facilities or structure (i.e. security guard, inspectors, etc.); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distance close to eye. Continuously Vision ability; close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions: Frequently Exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperature, dirt, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Frequently Work in confined and crowded areas Frequently Exposure to gases/chemicals or other hazardous materials. Continuously Exposure to live circuits and/or operating machinery. Continuously Exposure to heights Continuously Exposure to driving, traffic and associated driving hazards Continuously Exposure to elevated working platforms (scaffolding, scissor and boom lifts)

Travel; requires a current Driver’s Licenses.
