Since then, we have more than doubled the size of our original 20,000 square foot building to accommodate our ever growing inventory of spices and ingredients, our climate controlled, sterile manufacturing and distribution center, and our corporate offices.
Currently, we are in the midst of an expansion to further enhance our already rapid order response time, our custom blending and labeling... operations, and our commitment to a safe and pure end product. JOB SUMMARY: The 2nd Shift EVS Sanitation Technician is responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing of all food prep equipment, following all FDA and SQF requirements as they pertain to the facility, equipment, and other items used in the manufacture of All Seasonings Ingredient's products.
Will follow strict work instructions related to the required sanitation of equipment and will work as part of a team to ensure that food safety standards are adhered to. The 2nd Shift EVS Sanitation Technician Primary work site is 1043 Freedom Drive; may also include other off site storage facilities. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs standardized cleaning procedures, following chemical handling, PPE, and OSHA requirements.
Understands the manufacturing process and equipment/parts design to ensure proper equipment sanitation and efficient startups. Inspect and report on all work areas and equipment to ensure AIB standards are met and notifies management of any/all concerns. Problem solves with Supervisor and Sanitation Team, with an open-mind & the spirit of co-operation positively and professionally.
Responsible for efficiently performing duties in a variety of operational facilities for their sanitation and cleaning needs; work in conjunction with Team as needed to assure readiness for upcoming projects; demonstrates good time management in performing work tasks to ensure deadlines are met. Maintains records and daily logs, adhering to all current SOPs, and follows all safety procedures. Stocks and maintains the supply room in a neat and orderly manner.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Ability to communicate professionally and effectively. Reading and comprehension abilities for proper use of chemicals Must be able to follow the Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines when using and storing chemicals. Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of national Food safety initiatives by strict compliance to all Dept.
of Ag & Markets, SQF and AIB safety protocols, and procedures. As needed, must be able to work all shifts, including weekends. General knowledge of all cleaning equipment operation.
Excellent knowledge of Production machines. Ability to work in a Team environment in a positive manner of respect, cooperation & flexibility. Proactive and self-starting, working in a culture of team-work and goal-setting with continuous improvement focus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION STANDARDS Education Requirement: Minimum High School diploma or GED Previous Sanitation experience a plus. General understanding of Lock-Out Tag-Out requirements Valid NYS Driver's License Must be able to pass a respirator exam & Fit Test SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES The position is not a management position. Some responsibilities may include assisting in instructing and training in work methods to new hires.
