VP of Talent Acquisition and People Operations (1500 FTE's Globally)

VICE PRESIDENT OF TALENT AND HEAD OF PEOPLE OPERATIONS

Reporting directly to the President and having a seat on the Executive Team you will be responsible to lead all people-related initiatives, including performance management, compliance, recruiting, diversity & inclusion, retention, learning and development, and employee relations. This position requires one week of domestic travel on a monthly basis and one to two weeks of international travel on a quarterly basis (50%+ travel required).

RESPONSIBILITIES WOULD INCLUDE:

  • Provide vision, leadership, planning and management for strategic talent acquisition programs.

  • Partner and develop key relationships with business leaders, internal hiring managers, hiring teams, HR partners and other stakeholders to recommend and successfully implement innovative and effective recruitment strategies.

  • Work closely with the leadership team on needs assessments and workforce planning.

  • Leverage personal and professional networks, knowledge of talent communities, recruitment best practices and excellent judgment to counsel and guide hiring managers and HR professionals to hire the best talent.

  • Collaborate with the Compensation & Benefits leadership to successfully negotiate competitive pay packages based on current employee data and market trends while in alignment with company policies and budgets.

  • Implement proactive branding strategies to elevate Axon's reputation in the marketplace.

  • Manage design and output of candidate materials, recruitment advertising and marketing components to ensure consistency across all recruiting activities.

  • Effectively partner with external vendors (agencies, staffing firms, research companies, etc.), and internal HR stakeholders (business partners, compensation and benefits, talent management) to ensure successful execution of hiring and on-boarding processes.

  • Manage budgets and vendor contracts/relationships with all relevant suppliers to ensure optimal vendor performance.

  • Continually assess/ benchmark the competitiveness and effectiveness of all programs and practices against relevant comparable companies, industries and markets and implement necessary improvements.

  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, regularly monitor the success of recruiting processes and develop recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Enhance and foster Axon’s culture by developing programs and initiatives that unit our team to create a unified effort to achieve our mission and vision

  • Serve as a trusted resource to all employees, and guide them through career development and interpersonal conversations

  • Manage yearly open enrollment process, payroll, and benefits administration; evaluate new vendors and partners as necessary

  • Partner with executive team on long - term strategy and strategic growth plans

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10 or more years previous experience running the People/Human Resources function within a high-growth, progressive organization

  • Utilize people-related data to aid in strategic decision making; develop key metrics to measure employee engagement, performance and retention

  • In depth understanding of People/HR best practices

  • Demonstrated understanding of compliance issues, including federal, state, and municipal employment laws

  • Experience crafting and managing compensation practices

  • High level of integrity and ability to use good judgement

  • Strong people management and coaching skills

  • Excellent communication skills
