Job Description

We are a worldwide leader in developing and deploying enterprise object storage solutions is looking for an experienced Technology Alliances Manager to join the team. As the Senior Manager of Technology Alliances, this role is critical to driving our strategic partnerships and working with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Channels, Campaigns and Marketing, to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned on the deliverables required to successfully execute the partnership. By establishing and growing the business and technical relationships, while managing the day-to-day partner interactions, the Technology Alliances Manager is responsible for enablement and promotional activities, leading key events, enabling lead and opportunity creation, and associated revenue for strategic partners.

Reporting to the Director of Technology Alliances, the ideal candidate will have both a business background that enables them to engage at the executive level, as well as a product/technical background enabling management of joint product integration conversations that translate into joint GTM efforts and outcomes. The ideal candidate should possess a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, as well as build and convey compelling customer value propositions. The position also requires a solid technical acumen and well-rounded familiarity with object storage, data protection, cloud technologies, and the various application technologies comprising these ecosystems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create and drive new revenue opportunities for us and Alliance Partners

  • Define partnership/market requirements, produce qualitative and quantitative analysis of product/program performance

  • Engage Partner alliance, sales, product, and marketing organizations to define and execute on a joint GTM strategy and align key milestones to track results

  • Understand and keep our key stakeholder groups apprised of partners strategic and competitive positioning, key goals and objectives, technology and product roadmaps, and areas of opportunities to pursue

  • Maintain direct and active relationships with partners, including proactively resolving business, technical, and procedural issues while serving as an internal advocate for us and the partner

  • Establish, manage, and communicate key metrics, business trends, opportunities and revenue targets related to the partner solutions and work with the Sales team and the partner to achieve/exceed goals

  • Ensure that us and partner sales team are aligned, enabled, and closely collaborating on a planned set of sales motions to drive opportunities and maximize business results

  • Work cross-functionally with the product management, engineering, sales, channels, marketing, and other teams execute and deliver partner solution launches

  • Develop sales enablement assets supporting joint partner solutions including, but not limited to, solution (sales) decks, solution briefs, FAQ's, demos, videos, and other marketing/launch-related collateral

  • Represent and promote us and partner solutions at industry events, tradeshows, webinars, and other forums to support achievement of established leads, opportunities, and revenue goals

Job Requirements

  • Outstanding problem-solving skills – ability to define and structure problems, collect and analyze data, perform financial modeling, and synthesize defendable recommendations into actionable plans

  • Ability to lead, influence, and hold cross-functional teams accountable to develop successful partnerships for our overall business

  • Clear, effective communication and strong presentation skills with a keen ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences

  • Must exhibit a high degree of business maturity and ability to communicate effectively at senior management levels, including a demonstrated ability to engage and influence executives

  • Strong technical acumen, with a demonstrated track record of driving emerging/disruptive technologies

  • Exceptional collaboration and relationship-building skills – with the ability to develop work in relationships at all levels of management, both inside and outside our organization

  • Prior experience and business/technical knowledge in the areas of analytics, data protection, hybrid/multi-cloud, containers, cloud-native/modern applications and related ecosystems that drive consumption of S3-compatiable object storage are highly desirable

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in product/platform, partnership or technical disciplines in enterprise technology and storage companies

  • 3+ years of related partner facing experience, prior solutions marketing or solutions management experience is highly desirable

  • S. / B.A. in a computer science or related field is desired – MBA is a plus

  • Location is west of the Rocky Mountains (PST/MST time zones), Silicon Valley area is a plus

  • Ability to travel as required
