IT Support Specialist

Since 1985, Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless has dedicated its mission exclusively to providing services to people experiencing homelessness. AHCH provides a distinctive continuum of integrated care through outreach and site-based services to address the health-related causes and consequences of homelessness. Our vision is to live in a world that is just and without homelessness. We believe that homelessness is an issue that can be solved through access to quality health care, adequate and affordable housing, and a living wage.

We are currently looking for an individual to join our team as a Computer Support Specialist. The Computer Support Specialist ensures optimal functionality and accessibility of all IT systems that are utilized by end users including computers, basic networking, printers/scanners, and both mobile and desktop phones.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides software and hardware technical assistance
• Responsible for re-imaging hardware for production needs
• Responsible for maintaining inventory across applications
• Assists with reporting and auditing of systems
• Responsible for software testing on new implementations
• Performs hardware and software installations, configurations, and updates as needed
• Resolves technical issues in a timely manner using available resources
• Provides introductory training on AHCH software
• Creates and maintains job aids and tips and tricks solutions for AHCH staff use
• Onboarding and offboarding as relevant to the IT process

Minimum Qualifications:

• In depth knowledge of Windows 10, Microsoft 365, etc.
• Familiarity with change control
• Experience troubleshooting hardware and software including desktops/laptops, printers, active directory, basic networking, and mobile/desktop phone systems
• High level of organization, attention to detail, and adherence to deadlines
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative manner with all levels of organizational staff
• Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience writing job aides, SOP documents
• Previous IT support role in clinical healthcare environment and/or HIPAA compliance
• Bilingual- Spanish/English

• AS in Computer Science
