Summary:

Reporting directly to the Customer Support Manager, the Customer Support Coordinator is responsible for daily transactions that affect both internal and external customers by utilizing in-depth knowledge of Swagelok processes and resources to effectively communicate with customer support team members, the technical team, warehouse staff, management, and business development managers. The ideal candidate will be focused on providing solutions, be effective with communication, setting and managing expectations, and have a willingness to learn and improve while facilitating an exceptional customer experience.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Establish new leads, contacts, & customer accounts via phone, e-mail, and walk in customers

 

  • Provide timely and accurate responses to incoming customer requests for quotes, orders status updates, and product information

 

  • Process customer quotes, orders (including changes & returns) through the SAP operating system; which would include Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) & customer portal usage

 

  • Partner with business development managers and technical teams to meet and exceed customers’ service expectations

 

  • Review customer drawings & specifications to ensure accuracy of parts / technicalities requested for processing

 

  • Adhere to Swagelok policies and guidelines for processing, and obtain approvals when necessary

 

  • Special projects & other duties, as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or equivalent technical program/experience, with a bachelor’s degree preferred

 

  • Demonstrated success building and maintaining relationships using effective listening, communication (verbal & written), and problem-solving skills

 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment

 

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, & Teams

 

  • Experience with SAP preferred

 

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, & manage time effectively while demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail
