POSITION OVERVIEW
Alarm.com is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team.
Detailed-oriented and highly motivated, the Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting mission-critical systems used in the corporate environment. The successful candidate will be a natural troubleshooter with the ability to escalate issues proactively when needed. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Systems Engineer's primary job responsibilities will include:

  • Design and implement IT infrastructure services like:
  • Identity system – Okta
  • Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, PKI, Print Servers
  • Office365/Azure
  • MDM solution Microsoft Endpoint Manager - SCCM/Intune and JAMF
  • SCOM/Pingdom /Wavefront /Sumologic
  • Hyper-V and VMware
  • Dell/Cisco UCS hardware
  • Backup solutions
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Installation, integration, configuration of the corporate applications (ERP, PLM)
  • Remediation of identified security vulnerabilities, update firmware and software and apply security patches of servers.
  • Maintain documentation for Standard Operating Procedures and Configuration Items.
  • Resolve technical support incidents.
  • Troubleshoot and remediate issues across the infrastructure and create plans to prevent the same problem in the future.
  • Provide on-call support as needed.

 REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Work experience: 5 or more years
  • Technical troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS. PKI, DHCP
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Windows Operating System and MAC OS
  • Experience with Office365 and Azure
  • Experience with SCCM, Intune, and JAMF (Application Packaging and Windows Imaging)
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with Dell/Cisco UCS hardware
  • Experience with backup solutions
  • Understanding of network protocols/services and network infrastructure
  • Organizational skills
  • Strong technical focus with ownership capability
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Experience working in SOC, SOX, HIPAA, PCI, ISO compliant environments

Nice to have:

  • ITIL certification
  • Technical certifications like (Microsoft, VMware, CompTIA)
