Position Overview The Outside Sales Representative will work with other members of the sales team to grow the service offerings of our existing customers, create new customers, and meet or exceed monthly sales quotas while increasing customer satisfaction. This will be done by leveraging various marketing channels and developing leads based on these channels. As an Outside Sales Representative, You Will Sell home security, home automation & small business security, and services over the phone and in-person in customers’ homes. Prepare quotes, contracts, and RFP/RFI responses for potential customers Maintains all quote documentation with accurate pricing and configurations Follow up on new leads and referrals on an ongoing basis Generate leads through creative, traditional, and social media marketing Determine customer requirements and expectations and develop solutions in a consultative way Increases sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales, and offering promotional sale items Educates customers about terminology, features, and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction Regularly attend and actively participate in multiple Community, Realtor, and Homeowner Associations (HOAs) to generate additional sales opportunities Attends job starts on the first day of installation Instructs clients on the use of the system(s) Attends all sales calls with local management What You Bring Associates Degree or some college preferred 1 - 3 years direct to consumer sales experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience Individual must be highly motivated to attain company goals, must have strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills Technologically savvy with the ability to easily understand My Alarm Center’s technology Proficient in MS Office software, especially MS Excel Excellent oral/written communication skills Well-developed presentation skills Excellent customer relations skills Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license and be able to regularly drive to customers’ homes Great People, Deserve Great Benefits At AMSA, our employees and their welfare are very important to us.
