Director of Finance Accounting

Responsibilities Include

• The Accounting and Finance department is seeking to add an Accounting & Finance Director to help mentor, shape and grow the Accounting and Finance team
• The Accounting and Finance Director will be a self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• This person will be primarily responsible for managing the month-end close, financial reporting, project budgets and re-forecasting financial analysis, as well as big picture strategy 
• This person will focus on the company’s internal controls by improving, documenting and driving the monthly close manual, financial reporting and reforecasting processes and procedures for the company's US projects
• This position will act as a liaison between the accounting and finance, project management, marketing and operations teams and will prepare financial reporting and analysis to be used internally for decision making
• The Accounting and Finance Director reports to the Chief Financial Officer and will make recommendations on work allocation and how to structure and grow the Accounting and Finance Department

Qualifications

• At least 5 to 10 years of accounting/finance experience
• Fund Accounting experience a must
• Ability to train, mentor, motivate and hold team members accountable, a natural leader
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, conditional formulas, etc.)
• Ability to foster positive relationships, maintain a positive attitude and create a positive working environment
• Would prefer some sort of VC/PE experience
