POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Reliability Engineer will be responsible for planning and execution of reliability testing focused on “groundbreaking” designs and advanced technologies to ensure Akoustis meets or exceeds customer expectations. Success in this role requires proactive communication and collaboration with all engineering, manufacturing, and executive team members within Akoustis as well as external vendors, suppliers, and customers. As a leader of the Quality organization, you will drive on-time successful qualifications, identify & mitigate potential reliability risks, and drive root cause and corrective actions for product reliability issues.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and execute reliability tests based on market applications, customer requirements, and industry standards
  • Develop lifetime models based on test results
  • Research, design, and implement new reliability test methodologies as new technologies are developed
  • Manage and maintain a reliability test queue, working with other members of the product and/or technology development team to understand priorities and meet deadlines
  • Champion DFMEA, PFMEA, and other related risk analysis efforts to ensure first-time success of Akoustis’ “groundbreaking” design and advanced technology releases
  • Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Minimum BS degree in Electrical Engineering or other related engineering field
  • 7 years of semiconductor experience and prefer at least 1 year of reliability experience
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and thermal failure modes in semiconductor material for defect modeling and determining acceleration factors
  • Must be knowledgeable of reliability testing standards (JEDEC, MIL-STD, AEC)
  • Great organization with ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Presentation and verbal communication
  • Teamwork and leadership skills
  • Statistical processes and data analysis, specifically JMP software
  • Strong problem solving and analytic thinking
