Akelius is seeking a customer service focused and solutions oriented assistant property manager to join the property management team.
The assistant property manager will partner with the property manager to ensure business objectives of the assigned portfolio are being achieved.
The successful individual will assist with the coordination of property maintenance, while ensuring compliance with legal requirements and Akelius standards.
+ professionally communicate with residents and respond to their concerns
+ ensure all properties are kept neat and tidy
+ communicate building notices
+ facilitate lease renewal process
+ coordinate collections and initiate legal process for past due accounts
+ schedule property visits & inspections
+ organize with construction personal in relation to in-suite and Standard Measurements renovations
+ perform resident tours and leasing functions if needed
who you are
+ high school diploma or GED is required
+ Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Accounting, or related field is preferred
+ five plus years of experience in property administration or hospitality
+ a track recording of building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and vendors
+ experience managing a budget
+ proficiency with industry software (YARDI) is a plus
+ strong financial skills with basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
+ outstanding communication skills both written and verbally
