Job Description
Do you have a strong background in purchasing? Ajilon is working with an established client in the Fort Worth area that is seeking a Purchasing Agent. We are looking for a candidate that has experience dealing with smaller businesses and strong tenure in previous roles. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of administrative experience, background in hospitality is an added plus!

Purchasing Agent Responsibilities:

  • Maintain inventory levels on an assigned group of items
  • Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages
  • Vendor negotiations will all suppliers to ensure the best price and delivery terms
  • Inform sales and production daily of availability and lead times of all products
  • Manage Sales Forecasts
  • Qualifications:

  • HS degree required, BS/BA Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience required
  • Ability to deal with multiple projects and time constraints
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of employee
  • Print experience strongly preferred
