Reporting directly to the Manager of Proposals and Publications, the Coordinator is responsible for assisting sales and marketing personnel by planning, creating and/or producing marketing communications/sales promotional materials to assist in the implementation of product marketing strategies and sales objectives to customers and prospects. May perform, coordinate or oversee activities such as creative marketing writing, press kits, layout, sales kit preparation and trade show graphic display arrangements. Will consult with sales/marketing and internal/external organizations to develop material and implement plans. Position requires a high degree of creativity and artistic ability.
Proficient understanding of media, media relationships, finance, advertising and sales. Requires excellent people skills and the ability to effectively work with corporate, on-site personnel, and vendors. Ability to quickly acquire an in-depth understanding of the company products, functions, features and benefits. Also required are marketing, advertising, and media experience. Able to prioritize and work in a multi-tasking environment. Possess strong creative/promotional and direct marketing skills. Self-starter with a keen work ethic and ability to thrive in an ever-changing work environment. Requires excellent creative writing, proof reading, editing and verbal communications skills.
Proficient in computer creation of complex vector graphics using Adobe; Illustrator / Photoshop / Flash CS3 / Fireworks CS4 and CorelDRAW, in addition to MS Office - Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project and Outlook software. Working knowledge of PHP (recursive acronym for PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor) general-purpose scripting language.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, advertising, public relations, communications, or a related discipline.
