Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Regional Portfolio & Account Manager to join our Maintenance Engineering Services department based in Herndon, VA.

Job Summary:

As a Portfolio & Account Manager you will supervise delivery and performance (P&L and contractual service level commitments) of services setup's customized packages with external partners and provided to Airbus customers.

The Washington, D.C. metro area is home to multiple Airbus offices: In our nation's capital you will find the Airbus Experience Center, a collection of interactive, multimedia exhibitions highlighting the extensive role the company plays in the aviation, aerospace and defense industries in the U.S. and around the world. You will join a team of 30+ highly motivated professionals across the globe, striving to develop, sell and deliver value-adding services to our customers in the field of scheduled maintenance.

Our Portfolio & Account Management team's key focus is to:
  • Develop these services, evolve them and adapt them to customer requirements.
  • Promote our services internally to account managers and sales teams.
  • Promote and sell our services to our customers (operators, lessors, MROs)

Your challenges:

Our Maintenance Engineering Services team has great ambitions for the future to develop our customer portfolio, strengthen our regional footprint and bring more value to customers.

As a Regional Portfolio & Account Manager, you will be in charge of a regional portfolio of customers, for which you will:
  • Perform market analyses & prospect identification
  • Implement the service strategy (incl. communication and monitoring)
  • Promote services internally towards customer support directors, field service managers and sales teams and externally towards customers (including through on-site visits)
  • Ensure full management of sales campaign to meet regional revenue targets
  • Perform consultation and contract administration
  • Ensure full knowledge of upcoming services and technical evolutions
  • Coordinate contributions of colleagues, other teams and subcontractors
  • Ensure consistent internal and external communication in the region for Maintenance & Retrofit Engineering scope (for Airbus Customer-Facing Teams and customers)
  • Share key messages and lines to take according to business line strategy, main initiatives or projects
  • Coordinate Maintenance & Engineering team's contribution for specific activities (e.g.: customer events, aircraft sales campaign under Global Account Management leadership)
  • Coordinate regional feedback and share regional specificities (market trend, current context, etc.)
  • Prepare a dedicated regional report to be shared with all Maintenance & Retrofit Engineering community


Regular business travels will be expected up to twice a month in North America and a couple of times a year to Europe; consequently you must be willing to travel accordingly.

Your boarding pass:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree level (or equivalent) in marketing / business management or a related discipline.
  • Experience in sales and /or marketing, proven ability to work across multiple functions
  • Excellent negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Creative spirit with good priority management skills
  • Advanced level in English, other languages a plus
