Job Description

About AirGarage 🏙

AirGarage is repurposing the 30% of real estate in the average American city currently dedicated to parking.

We are building a future where real estate is digitized and can be transitioned from one use to another seamlessly on-demand, moving every piece of urban real estate toward its highest and best use.

We are starting with the $131 billion US parking real estate market because it is one of the most offline and mismanaged commercial real estate asset types.

As a full-stack parking operator, we automate the operation of parking lots and parking garages. We handle everything from advertising to collecting payments from drivers and enforcing against illegal parking. We already operate 150+ parking lots and parking garages across 30 US states and we are growing quickly.

We are backed by top tier investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Floodgate, Founders Fund, and angel investors who have founded or worked at companies like Uber, Opendoor, Flexport, and more.

As an Operations Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing day to day operations for a portfolio of dozens of parking facilities within your region.

As an Operations Lead at AirGarage you have two primary responsibilities for your region:

  1. Grow your regions revenue consistently Month over Month.

  2. Control operational expenses and improve efficiency.

In order to succeed, you’ll need to be comfortable being both tactical and strategic. You’ll need to become an expert on your markets and be in the weeds enough to understand the nuances of our different products and parking facilities, while also being able to develop processes, improve operational efficiency, and own a multi-million dollar P&L for your region.

The Operations Lead will work cross-functionally across the business with Partner Success, Field Operations, Enforcement (Space Force), Product, and Sales. Your day-to-day efforts will support aggressive growth and expansion at a rapidly growing, early-stage startup.

The ideal candidate will be able to travel up to 15% of the time to visit key partners when required.

  • Partner with the Head of Operations to develop the operations strategy roadmap for your region.

  • Build, implement, refine, and manage the day-to-day processes behind a successful parking management operation across 35 states.

  • Drive local market unit economic sustainability, operational efficiency, performance, and profitability.

  • Analyze daily and weekly performance of local operations and recommend process improvements based on the findings.

  • Ensure compliance with local city and state governments, navigate various tax, licensing and permitting requirements.

  • Own local market growth projects focused on scaling our operations and improving current performance, quality, profitability, and customer experience.

  • Implement data-driven solutions to daily operational challenges such as improving speed of launch, quality of service, and the experience of our customers and partners.

  • Partner with Sales team to assist in generating pro-formas and other proposals.

  • Work closely with leadership team and be a key voice in the business.

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience, including experience in management consulting, high growth startups, or investment banking.

  • 3+ years managing and scaling operations teams.

  • Data-driven problem solving and analytical skills, SQL proficiency preferred.

  • Experience designing and executing scalable operational processes.

  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing collaborative, results-oriented teams and dealing with various stakeholders with conflicting priorities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and business judgment skills.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, willing to get hands dirty and operate effectively in ambiguity.

We understand that there's no such thing as a 'perfect' candidate. We're looking for someone passionate, with grit and determination, who is excited to face the challenges of a rapidly growing startup. AirGarage is the type of company where you can grow exponentially, and we encourage you to apply to us even if you don't 100% match the candidate description.
