Supervisor Loader Full-Time

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for formulating and carrying out a loading plan to load company aircraft in

accordance with company policies and practices. Knowledge of regulations pertaining to load weight and load safety. Load and unload aircraft. Operate equipment such as cargo and belt loaders, lift trucks, ramp tractors and loading systems. Help position loading ramps, passenger ramps and other equipment. Must be available to work weekends, AM & PM shifts and holidays.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Manage and direct the work of loaders. Communicate safety or performance concerns to the Base General Manager, Dispatch and Maintenance.
2. Assist in the training of new associates.
3. Formulate a workable loading plan which will allow aircraft to be loaded on time and securely- considering the following variables: material size, material shape and material weight.
4. Safe operation of cargo and belt loaders, lift trucks and ramp tractors on company property.
5. Accurately checks to ensure both proper material and proper quantities are loaded for shipment of the cargo. This is done through the proper use of: scanners, verification of item descriptions on work copies and review of shipping documents.
6. Loaders must be able to climb up and down ladders and stairs.
7. Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds routinely.
8. Possess ability to frequently stand, bend, push, squat, and reach into various positions to load materials correctly.
9. Maintains housekeeping of the hanger and ramps.
10. Monitors work area.
11. Demonstrates ability and accepts responsibility to perform other duties assigned.

• Previous aircraft cleaning experience would be highly beneficial.
