DevOps Support Engineer - Remote

We have an immediate, full-time need for a skilled, energetic, and driven DevOps Engineer Support.

Description: The DevOps Support Engineer will bridge the gap between developers, systems administrators and cloud engineers as part of a project team for a Government client. The successful candidate will guide code releases from development to distribution using automation tools and frameworks to create a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline; build infrastructure as code (IaC) templates to support various configurations for multiple environments; work with AWS Cloud Engineers to automate environment creation and destruction; automate configuration updates for environments; have experience with Kubernetes and containerization; and demonstrate advanced Linux knowledge.

DevOps Engineer Job Duties:

• Design, develop, and implement software based on user requirements

• Automation with Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, and Kubernetes.

• Work within a team to translate physical infrastructure into IaC

• Use tools that automate the development, testing, and integration of software releases and fixes

• Release new features and ensure they are stable

• Analyze production errors to define and create tools that help mitigate problems in the system design stage

• Demonstrate ability to learn and apply cloud computing skills, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) knowledge

• Develop and maintain design and troubleshooting documentation such as user manuals, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides

• Perform other duties as assigned

Security Clearance Requirements: None required upon applying but must be willing to undergo background check to obtain a Public Trust security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Desired Skills / Qualifications : Excellent verbal and written communication skills; 5 years working experience in IT technology, training development or training coordination.

Schedule: Day shift, Monday–Friday

Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long durations of time. Also, must be able to continuously operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
