Job Description:
As a Product Designer you would be joining an experienced team engaged in bringing to life a forward-thinking suite of products powered by machine learning and big data. You will have the opportunity to truly change the way people conduct business by designing interfaces for applications for a sophisticated suite of contract management apps being used by Fortune 500 companies domestically and internationally.
You should possess a desire for deep knowledge of the user, a passion for pushing the boundaries of innovation and a strong eye for great design. As part of this team, your days will consist of working closely with product stakeholders to define and execute on various solutions, contributing to the creation of a wholistic design system and working within that system —bringing great ideas to fruition rapidly, in an open, creative environment.
Being a self-starter, having a collaborative team mindset and possessing an inquisitive spirit are absolutely required in this role, as the problems you will be tackling are deeply involved and complex. You will work with a team of business stakeholders, product managers, technologists, and UX professionals to help lead true industry transformation!
Qualifications:
• The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years in digital product design within a product team or digital agency
• Demonstrate skill in taking a complex idea from exploration and concept, through to final high-fidelity design
• Ability to work and collaborate, and take feedback within a cross-disciplined, open-minded, and creative team
• Creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering a user-centric experience
• Superb communication skills — both verbal and written
• Proven ability to work independently, self-manage, and multi-task against multiple, concurrent projects
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Axure RP, InVision, Adobe Creative Suite, and other applicable tools
• A portfolio that showcases the application of user-centered design is required for consideration
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in interaction design, human factors, or related discipline
Responsibilities:
• Iterate on design deliverables — such as sketches, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes—from conception to final interface and hand-off
• Utilize user-centered methodologies to transform complex concepts into highly usable, and discoverable product workflows customers can intuitively use
• Collaborate closely with product managers and developers to ensure your designs align with business goals and meet technical requirements
• Present and tell the story of your design decisions to both internal stakeholders communicating relevant insights, conceptual ideas, and detailed design rationale both verbally and visually
• Provide concise documentation of your design artifacts to clearly communicate requirements to the development team
• Participate in design and execution of research, usability testing, and analysis efforts, and creation of artifacts such as personas, journey maps, and reports
• Maintain knowledge of web app usability standards and common interface conventions.
• Work within and contribute to a global pattern and style library, applied across multiple products
• Keep a critical eye, and consistent attention to detail
• Manage working remotely in a responsive and timely fashion
