POSITION DESCRIPTION & OVERVIEW Title: Housing Manager Reports To: Director of Site-Based Housing Schedule: Mon - Fri 8am-4pm, Flexible (Some weekend and overnight hours) Compensation: $50,000-$55,000 annually Job Classification: Exempt, Salaried, 40 Hours/Week Union Representation: This position is not a union represented position. The 510 Board and Lodge, located at 510 S 8th Street, and the Park 7 Apartments, located at 615 S 7th Street, serve single adults through Case Management and resource connection. Through these programs, we often encounter individuals along the broad spectrum of homelessness from recently homeless to chronically homeless individuals. The goal in each of these programs is to build rapport and assist in connecting individuals to stabilize their housing and achieving self-sufficiency. The Housing Manager is a position created to provide more direct oversight and consistency to the Case Management and front desk services within our site-based residential programs. This position is responsible for program oversight of existing 510 Board and Lodge and Park 7 Apartment programming including: front desk services, programming, and staff supervision and working closely with other relevant staff and agency partners, this position will support long-term planning to reimagine the use of a current asset (510 Building) to meet the programmatic objectives of Agate Housing and Services. The program manager position will be responsible for creating and modifying program related documents, hiring, training and mentoring staff. PRIMARY DUTIES AND EXPECTATIONSProvide supervision, leadership, and support to approximately seven staff providing direct services to single adults in the various programs within the 510 and Park 7 buildings.Provide ongoing supervision and case consultation for staff.Conduct regular team meetings that foster mutual support, professional development and high-quality service provision for the team.Establish and maintain active working relationships with community partners and funders.Represent Agate Housing and Services in meetings with other agencies, businesses, government funders and community partners.Manage the financial resources of the initiatives within the budget.Ensure quality file keeping and case documentation by direct service staff.Oversee program reporting, ensuring that programs are on track to meet contractual goals.Ensure that services offered are compliant with Federal, State and County guidelines and contract requirements.Respond to changing community needs and incorporate best practices throughout the programs.Ensure that required evaluation systems are in place.The position consists of 50% Management of the 510 Board and Lodge and 50% Management of the Park 7 Apartments. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION Sedentary work - Sitting most of the time with occasional walking and climbing stairs. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBe able to accompany staff on home visits, including to apartments that may only be accessible through climbing stairs. Have experience with Microsoft Office products. Have valid Driver's License, pass background check. Have access to a safe and reliable vehicle. Experience that gives applicants the required skills, abilities, and perspectives listed above are commonly gained through one or more of the following:Personal experience with homelessness;Experience working, interning, or volunteering with people experiencing homelessness;An Associates, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Social Work (with accompanying licensure), Human Services, or Family Studies. This position requires use of your own personal vehicle for Agency business and will be required to maintain liability insurance coverage of at least $100,000 per person and $300,000 per occurrence. In addition to criminal background studies, applicants must have a valid Driver's License and pass a driving record background check. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSThree or more years' experience supervising staff working with people experiencing homelessness.Licensed social worker (LSW, LGSW, or LISW), Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).Knowledge of and experience working within the homelessness response system in Hennepin County.Fluency in languages used by our clients (Spanish, Amharic, Oromo, Somali, ASL). AGENCY COVID-19 REQUIREMENTS Agate Housing and Services maintains a COVID-19 preparedness plan that mitigates the transmission and spread of COVID-19. Programs also maintain practices to ensure the safety of staff, clients, residents, and community members.
