Job Description

As a Food Broker Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced team of food brokers, assisting in various aspects of the brokerage process. You will gain insight into the food industry, develop valuable skills in sales and relationship management, and contribute to the success of our clients. This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn about the intricacies of food brokerage and gain practical experience in a fast-paced and competitive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in market research and analysis to identify potential clients and trends in the food industry
• Support food brokers in developing sales strategies and plans for client products
• Help in the preparation of sales presentations, product demonstrations, and promotional materials
• Collaborate with the team to maintain client relationships, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction
• Participate in client meetings, trade shows, and industry events
• Aid in tracking sales data, monitoring product performance, and generating reports
• Assist in administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and maintaining records

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in business, marketing, or a related field (or recent graduate)
• Strong interest in the food industry, sales, and relationship management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Creative thinker with problem-solving skills
• Prior experience in sales, customer service, or the food industry is a plus, but not required
