Your day-to-day work will include:

Assistant Security Manager supporting Deputy Commandant (DC) Programs and Resources (P&R) Department's Security Program. Directly report to Admin Officer (RMP) and in coordination with HQMC (ARS), implement the department's Security Program, policies, and procedures. Subsidiary security programs include the Emergency Action Plan and Privacy Act program.

Direct representative in matters pertaining to the classification, safeguarding, transmission, and destruction of classified information.
•Access classified information and be assigned to sensitive duties.
•Develop written command information and personnel security procedures, including an emergency plan that integrates emergency destruction plans where required.
•Formulate and coordinate the command's security awareness and education program.
•Ensure security control of visits to and from the command when the visitor requires and is authorized access to classified information.
•Ensure that personnel security investigations, clearances, and accesses are properly recorded.
•Inbound/Outbound Management- Closely coordinate actions with the Civilian HR POC, the Admin Officer, and contract representatives to manage inbound and outbound processing for the Military, Civilian, and Contractor workforce.

Experience Requirements:

8 years directly related professional experience (including internships) providing Functional Responsibility related job services.

Waiverable/Substitutable: Experience requirements can be waived by the client.


  • Limited travel may be required, not anticipated to exceed four (4) weeks per year.
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, including ability to lead periods of informal virtual, remote, and in-person support/training with DAI users.
  • Ability to multi-task and employ problem-solving skills.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Administration or other related business, scientific or technical discipline.

Work hours:

Security Clearance:

Although the security clearance process involves several stages, the key steps to obtaining and maintaining a security clearance are pre-investigation, investigation, adjudication, and reinvestigation.
