Exciting times at Aery!   We are seeking to hire a Manufacturing Sales Manager to support on-site daily in Newport News, VA.  The chosen candidate will look to develop, maintain and grow core relationships with high-value key account organizations, primarily but not exclusively, operating in the government and commercial sectors.  He or she will need to have an extensive amount of professional sales experience in manufacturing that includes meeting or exceeding sales KPI’s and quoting/costing of manufactured or fabricated products. This position requires an outgoing, ambitious, service-motivated professional who will travel and market Aery Aviation’s products, services to potential customers by in-person sales presentations, attending trade shows, participating in associations, and other methods of successful marketing.

 

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • The chosen candidate will look to collaborate with the leadership team and necessary operations personnel to develop sales objective planning, strategies, and customer requirements that ensure the attainment of company goals and profitability.
  • Identify and solicit new business development opportunities; frequently conduct face-to-face sales calls/meetings with potential customers to market products and present the company’s capabilities.
  • Establish, monitor, and apply sales KPI’s against company goals and objectives.
  • Utilize DLA systems, including the Defense Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) to select appropriate RFQ solicitations and submit quotes on behalf of the company.
  • Develop, refine, and articulate the capabilities and specifications of the company’s machining and manufacturing abilities as it relates to DLA opportunities.
  • Timely, consistent, and comprehensive sales pipeline reporting along with CRM updates meeting or exceeding goals and objectives as outlined by the company leadership team. 

 

Qualifications (Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and certifications/licenses):

  • The position is headquartered in Newport News, VA. Must be willing to commute as needed;
  • Position requires approximately 50% travel;
  • Must be of U.S. Citizenship to support this U.S. Government contract;
  • Minimum of 5-years of successful quota attainment in technical manufacturing sales;
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related preferred but not required. Will consider relevant experience in lieu of degree;
  • Working knowledge supporting DLA and DIBBS Application process preferred;
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
