Our commercial-stage biopharmaceutical client is committed to discovering, developing and commercializing small-molecule and protein therapeutics for large-market as well as orphan indications targeting inflammation, complement-mediated diseases and disorders of the central nervous system.

They have a direct hire need for a Staff Accountant to join their team in Downtown Seattle with an amazing view of the water! Please see the details below:

Top Must Have Qualifications:

- 1-2 years of Public Accounting or Public company experience
- General Ledger Accounts and module experience including prepaids, cash, payroll, and accruals
- CPA eligible
- Excel - Vlookup, Pivot Tables


- Master's degree (a strong foundation)
- Experience with SOX Controls and GAAP
- Able to work cross functionally with other business units, specifically accounts payable and other related accounting functions
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication (verbal and written)


* Preparing month end journal entries and reconciliations including prepaids, cash, payroll, and accruals (various GL Accounts/modules). Also responsible for transactional and month end closing procedures of Cash & Fixed Asset modules.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of significant accounting processes and policies to maximizes the functionality Oracle Fusion ERP
* Assisting in the preparation of client prepared schedules to be provided to our external auditors
* Assisting in the organization and documentation supporting our compliance procedures under SOX including performance and documentation of key control activities
* Acting as a liaison to company business units by providing support and gathering information relating to significant accounting function
* Assisting in the research and review of technical accounting relating to significant transactions
* Providing audit support, assisting with applicable government reporting and participating in other projects
