Purchasing Administrator

For a manufacturing company, the purchasing role is what makes the wheels spin. As a dedicated Purchasing Assistant, duties include:

  • The Purchasing Clerk will provide assistance and support to the purchasing department in multiple functions on a daily basis.
  • Enter and process all purchase orders for various branch supplies and services including freight and MRO needs.
  • Assist in expediting overdue items and maintaining accurate PO information in the system.
  • Assist with maintaining and publishing various purchasing documents regarding cost savings and supplier metrics.
  • Develop and maintain an incoming shipment report and tracking sheet for all import goods.
  • Work with purchasing coordinators and other departments to return non-conforming product and ensure credit is issued.
  • Enter and process all purchase orders for various facility supplies and services, MRO needs, and various other purchase orders.
  • Assist in expediting overdue items and maintaining accurate PO information in the system.
  • Enter and process Purchase orders for Freight, 3rd party services, and other non-inventory items and ensure proper backup is attached to all PO's.
  • Develop and maintain a tracking sheet for all import goods to ensure proper flow of materials to support packaging and production departments.
  • Handle maintenance and communication of various purchasing documents regarding cost downs, on time delivery, and supplier metrics.

Schedule is a Monday-Friday 7am-4pm
