Job Title: Liaison Aerospace Engineer
Classification: Exempt
Pay: Competitive salary, plus excellent benefits
Location: Addison, TX (ADS)
Hours: 8AM-5PM, overtime required on an as needed basis
Occasional rotating nights and weekends coverage required
Reports to: Engineering Operations Manager
Primary Duties:
- Provide administrative support, technical writing, project management, and coordination directly with customers, which will require occasional support during nights and weekends
- Design, draft, and analyze maintenance based repairs/alterations for all aircraft structures, ensuring that all work complies with respective FAA Regulations
- Provide Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support, including "Fly On" allowances, Temporary Repairs, and Engineering Substantiated Repairs
- Complete Fleetwide and Maintenance Reliability projects
- Initiate and participate in Supplemental SRM/IPC repair projects based off common findings
- Provide On-Wing Support for difficult repair evaluations
- Technical writing
- Create aircraft fleet wide solutions or scope out solutions that best meet the customers' needs
- Proactively support customer maintenance efforts to improve aircraft availability while reducing costs
- Manage various airline related projects, providing coordination, as needed, to perform the necessary duties as the Primary Point of Contact
- 25% Travel Required -There may be travel up to 25% to other customer and vendor locations in the USA
- Perform other duties, as assigned, within the job classification and business
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and other company technology systems
- Must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Must have strong interpersonal skills
- Must be attentive to customer needs, project timelines, and requested approach at all times
- Must be resourceful and proactive in addressing work related concerns
- Must have the ability to attend required business meetings - in person, or by video call in, as coordinated
- Must work well independently, with little supervision, or with a team
- Must have a drive/passion for the aerospace industry
- Must possess an ability and willingness to learn
- Must be able to balance multiple priorities
- Must have strong attention to detail and complete work, including data entry, with a high degree of accuracy
- Must exercise good judgment
- Must possess strong organizational and time management skills
- Must follow direction well
- Must maintain excellence in business communications, manner and appearance on behalf of AQRD-MRO, for customer and coworker communications
- Must have the ability to travel for business, as needed
Required Education and Experience:
- Work Experience 5+ Years, required
- Aircraft Background either as an Engineer or Technician/Mechanic, required
- Proficiency in reading/researching aircraft technical data, required
- Bachelor's degree from an Accredited Institution in Engineering or a Relevant Field, a plus
- Aerospace/Aviation Structural Repair Experience, a plus
- Proficiency in conventional Stress Analysis techniques, a plus
- A&P License, Maintenance Control or other aircraft shop experience, a plus
- Experience working for or directly supporting FAA Part 121 or 135 Operators, a plus
- Experience working for or directly supporting FAA Part 145 Repair Stations, a plus
Required Physical Abilities:
- Ability to drive on behalf of the company. (Must possess a valid driver's license and auto insurance.)
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in an airport hangar and/or office cubicle environment.
