Summary
A reputable manufacturer in Austin, IN is seeking a Product Manager to join their team! This individual will be responsible for managing the product life cycle from the research and development phase to the customer's shelf. They will oversee the product portfolio, pricing, placement, and promotions to meet customer and company needs. The Product Manager will participate in business planning, demand management, and project management.
Responsibilities
- Manage P&L for assigned product categories
- Develop and execute business plans to support revenue and profit objectives
- Identify opportunities for growth based on customer needs and market research for assigned product category
- Serve as a point of contact for all product related issues and inquiries
- Provide the sales team with technical details and information on products as well as printed and electronic promotional material and product training
- Research customer attitudes to the current product range and new product introductions
- Assist with development of annual marketing plan
- Perform market research to identify trends and opportunities to increase market share
- Assist with planning and coordinating all sales materials and marketing presentations
- Work with R&D on product improvements and cost reduction
- Lead cross-functional teams through product development, new product launches, and the pricing process
- Competitor capabilities analysis
- Drive packaging or label changes due to brand match, reformulations, and new customers
- Develop pricing strategies
- Develop and monitor market share information by product lines and by channel utilizing quarterly syndicated information.
- Analyze data and present findings to Sales and and upper level management
- Recommend strategies for staying on top of evolving trends and opportunities to grow or to exit business
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field
- At least 4 years of Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience
- Master data management and project management experience
