We are partnered with a well-established manufacturer in the area targeting an Agriculture Coordinator! This is a direct hire role with room for advancement and a full host of benefits.
Shift: 1st
Position Overview
This position is an important link between the Company and contract growers. The Agriculture Coordinator is responsible for providing accurate and timely information and creating high quality production. The position coordinates all on-site agriculture functions during packing season with each processing plant. Some travel will be required to our farms throughout the midwest and a company car will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Field Scouting
- Advise Growers
- Greenhouse Supervision
- Assist in Varietal Development
- Miscellaneous projects as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- 4 year degree in Agriculture preferred
- In lieu of a four year degree, 5 or more years of field experience will be required
- Exposure to computer, accounting, and management classes
- 2 years’ experience in Agriculture – farming, fertilizer, seed, or chemical sales
- 1 year supervisory experience preferred
- Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) preferred
