High school education
1~2 years of patient care experience
Good communication and organizational skills
Experience with computers
CPR Certification Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to ambulate around large hospital without restrictions.
Ability to move equipment to patient bed tower for inpatient, bedside exams.
May be exposed to communicable diseases.
If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.
The purpose of this position is to create a flexible resource technician that can meet the needs of many outpatient departments. The departments include but are not limited to Neurodiagnostics, Cardiodiagnostics, Heart Failure Recovery Center, Wound Center, Diabetes Center and the Anticoagulation clinic.
Performance of electroencephalograms (routine, video, and portable).
Direct patient care
Apply cardiac holter and event monitors
Assist neurologist with NCV/EMG procedures.
Electronically assign, review and edit EKG's for Advocate Sherman and offsite locations
Maintain supplies and workspace of several outpatient departments
Professional /Personal growth and development
Maintain and manage department records and documentation.
