AdvoCare is seeking a Director of Marketing Communications to join the Marketing team! This person will be responsible for overseeing all communications through all channels and ensuring alignment with AdvoCare’s vision, mission and values.
Job Summary & General Duties
Oversee all brand and marketing communications both externally and internally.
Develop and execute strategy, keeping up with current trends, anticipating the market’s demands with a focus on brand awareness, improving marketing efforts and increasing sales.
Work closely on campaigns with Digital, Product Marketing, Creative and Sales teams to ensure communications support campaign objectives.
Own the voice, communication channels and the alignment of any campaign with AdvoCare’s vision, mission and values.
Develop a strategic timeline for all internal/external communications including but not limited to all current and potential social media channels, e-mail, website, blog.
Gather and utilize market research data to evaluate AdvoCare’s social media
Create and support a social media program to help drive field sales engagement.
Provide complete, consistent and thorough communications to AdvoCare Independent Distributors, customers and the corporate home office.
Collaborate with all relevant departments to ensure effective and compliant messaging.
Builds awareness of the AdvoCare brand and products by coordinating the development, execution and evaluation of communications strategies through social media channels.
Identify issues, patterns and trends daily in consumer comments/inquiries and convey information to the appropriate departments.
Work closely with product innovation, product marketing, digital and sales to understand key product pushes and retail initiatives in order to drive results via social media support.
Analyze social media posts and campaign success to determine ROI
Audit existing sales tools/publications and ensure messaging is relevant and continues to align with the AdvoCare mission.
Lead communication strategies in congruence with Sales and Marketing plans, as it relates to product launches, Distributor communications, policy changes, new services, internal communication, recognition etc.
Explore other possible communications channels that can increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the AdvoCare message.
Provide copy/content on occasion.
Attributes & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a communications related field. Masters preferred.
Eight or more years in a communications management role, including managing a team.
Strong interpersonal savvy, including the ability to problem solve, improvise and think strategically with a variety of stakeholders and personalities.
AP style writing.
Microsoft office suite proficiency.
Strong organizational skills to manage a growing communications calendar.
Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios
Strong knowledge and direct experience with social media related communication, deployment, and analytics
Proven ability to develop effective, result-focused marketing communications
