As Controller you will have overall responsibility for all accounting and financial administration in a rapidly growing environment. You will build, manage, and develop the accounting and finance teams through the accounting close processes, preparation of financial statements, tax filings and internal controls, and financial audit. You will also play an integral part in the company’s growth by analyzing and developing recommendations about the company’s financial performance and by supporting strategic discussions with company leadership, the Board of Directors and external funding sources. Responsibilities: • Own the monthly financial close process, including preparation of financial statements, month-end reports and external reporting • Manage all aspects of accounting; billing, financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, cost accounting, revenue recognition, and various financial/operational analyses • Manage company’s revenue cycle management system and accounts receivable • Prepare budgets, forecasts and revenue projections and analyze actual vs budget variances. • Assist with equity/debt financings • Assess current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes • Advise on financial analyses and decision-making regarding capital investments, pricing, contract negotiations, significant costs, benchmarks, and other matters with management and chief financial officer • Develop and manage Company’s internal control processes • Manage company’s external audit • Oversee regulatory reporting, including federal, state and municipality tax compliance Qualifications: • Experience in a healthcare environment, especially in a high-growth multi-unit setting, strongly preferred • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related discipline (CPA is a MUST) • 7-10 years of accounting experience with expert understanding of GAAP • Highly efficient with exceptional organizational skills - able to manage multiple projects and prioritize in a dynamic setting • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.
Experience in communicating and collaborating with C-level executives, board members, venture capitalists, banks, etc.
