Job Description
Organization, maintenance of parts inventory, equipment certification, shipping and receiving duties.

 

  1. Assist customers, as directed, with parts orders and other inquires.
  2. Insure that an adequate stock of each part is in inventory.
  3. Return parts to stock from unused parts taken on a field service job. Document the return of these parts.
  4. Ensure plant and equipment is regularly serviced, electrically tested, and where required calibrated. Maintaining records and ensuring any plant and equipment noted as ‘not fit for purpose’ is clearly identified to prevent inadvertent use.
  5. When required, Order parts and supplies required for service, inventory.
  6. Restocking of parts and supplies as needed.
  7. Be available for Parts on call rotation.
  8. Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  9. Receive all materials sent to our facility. Run Quality Control Checks for damage and completeness of shipment, documenting any irregularities and informing appropriate management.
  10. Fill material orders, package and ship materials. Fabricate any crating that may be necessary for shipment of spares.
  11. Maneuver heavy pieces of equipment with the assistance of mechanical devices (i. e. forklift).
  12. Check the Drop Box on a daily basis for any incoming materials or documentation being returned.
  13. Punch in and out every day.
  14. Responsible for following the Processes, Procedures and Work Instructions for receiving and returning inventory items from the parts department. All inventory documentation related to a service must have the associated Work Order No. on it. If it is not immediately known, ASK. All returned items must be “checked” back in with parts department personnel. Any items left in the gray box must have the correct identifying paperwork attached to it.
  15. Be able to climb ladders, stairs, stoop down to pull parts from lower shelving, be able to reach over head to pull parts from top shelving. Be able stand at shipping desk copier/printer for up to one hour at a time and be able to lift up 70 pounds.
  16. Additionally, the title holder may be required to undertake other tasks as requirements demand.

The Parts Department Clerk will:

  1. Attend weekly sales meetings with parts ordered forecast.
  2. Input data in Corporate Data Systems for Parts and Shop departments, charting on-going parts debriefing with stock as related to Shop jobs and report to OGM.
  3. Liaison with Shop Manager daily regarding inventory requirements for Shop jobs.
  4. Assist IC Manager with daily tasks related to stock transfers, inventory, etc.
  5. Assist IC Manager with creating Purchase Orders.
  6. Assist with corporate office with orders, deliveries, inventory stock issues, etc.
  7. Liaison as needed with other departments on pending / outstanding parts orders.
  8. Follow ISO QAM and QPM processes and procedures as related to the operation of SSI and specifically the parts department.
  9. Punch in and out every day.
  10. Assist customers, as directed, with parts orders and other inquires.
  11. Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  12. Additionally, the title holder may be required to undertake other tasks as requirements demand.

 Summary: Responsible for supporting all operations of the shipping and receiving department as well as driving company truck to pick up or drop off material by performing the following duties.

 

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Load and unload delivery vehicles to include operating fork trucks, lifting and carrying material and stocking in appropriate areas throughout the warehouse. *

2. Operate fork truck to unload pallets and heavier materials. *

3. Verify quantities of deliveries and material serial numbers by comparing material to packing slips. *

4. Visually inspect deliveries for damage and notify supervisor of discrepancies.

5. Maintain a neat and orderly work area at all times. *

6. Complete appropriate paperwork and computer entries for deliveries as required.

7. Complete order requests to include obtaining appropriate material from storage in accordance with picking ticket. *

8. Prepare shipments to include boxing materials, labeling with appropriate shipping information and completing appropriate paperwork. *

9. Communicate delivery problems to customers and management promptly. *

10. Store materials and supplies within the warehouse according to part number and or/description by safety performing physical tasks such as lifting, carrying and stacking by hand or safety using material handling equipment. *

11. Deliver and pick up material in company truck as directed by supervisor. *


Pay: $13-14/hour, dependent upon level of candidate
