Marketing & Sales Support Specialist

Work Conditions: Part-Time Temp position, non-exempt
Work Hours (Part-time): 4 days a week (32 hours a week) - 8:30-17:00 (with 30 min. unpaid lunch time, 2 x paid 10 min. breaks in AM and PM)
Salary Range: $15.00/hour
Work Location: Torrance, CA
Requirement: Proficiency in Excel and data input. Will be available to work till the end of the project – March 2020 (the duration may change due to the project)

Summary:
A global leading company in Torrance, CA is looking for a part-time Sales and Marketing Assistant.
This position is to support the work of sales and marketing managers as well as executives on projects directed at maximizing company profits and developing sales strategies or marketing campaigns.
Responsible for supporting sales staff by providing administrative, clerical, and customer support.
They work closely with employees in other functions, such as advertising, market research, production, sales, and distribution.


Essential Duties include but not are limited to (Not Official: Please ask for more details during the interview):
Assist in monitoring active marketing programs and developing ways to improve those campaigns
Submit ideas for experimental marketing programs designed to enhance and grow the company’s brand
Work closely with the in-store collateral development team to create pieces to be put on retail sales floors
Collaborate with brand ambassadors to create innovative ways to gain exposure for client products
Be available as a resource for senior marketing professionals who need assistance with completing large projects
Answer telephone calls and assist customers.
Handle orders, complaints, and other inquiries.
Perform data entry when orders are completed or changed.
Process sales data and progress reports.
Respond to emails, phone calls, and other forms of correspondence.
Maintain client database.
Make PowerPoint presentations for sales staff.
Resolve promotional allowance, rebate, and pricing discrepancies by researching promotion details and regular and special prices.
Track sales expenses.
Analyze sales reports.

Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising or related field and/ or 2+ years’ experience working in a sales and marketing support function
Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel
Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent problem solving and data entry skills
Strong communication and organizational skills
Available for the project duration till the end of March 2020 (subject to change)
