A Legal Administrative Assistant assists attorneys and paralegals through the performance of complex and substantive legal tasks requiring knowledge of legal terminology and the legal process. The Legal Administrative Assistant is required to handle strict confidential client and firm data in a professional and ethical manner on a daily basis and provide attorneys with assistance as defined below. Extensive litigation experience is a requirement for this position.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide support to assigned attorney(s) and paralegal(s)
2. Format documents into final form, proofread, copy, scan, mail, etc.
3. Process incoming and outgoing mail & file/e-file documents
4. Opening/closing files, consistent with department and firm practice
5. Manage data and prepare presentations as needed
6. Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
litigation experience is required. High School Diploma or Equivalent required. One year of administrative office experience is required.
