Position:  Japanese Bilingual Sales Administrator / Expatriate Support I
Location: Lexington, KY

SUMMARY      
A Japanese automotive supplier in Lexington is looking for a Japanese Bilingual Sales Administrator to assist the Sales Department as well as Japanese expatriates with general needs as liaison.  
The Sales Administrator is responsible for scheduling of visitors (customers) for the Sales department and supporting Japanese expatriates and their family members with scheduling appointments and translating meetings and documents. Working experience in related field is a plus; entry level is welcome


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT ARE LIMITED TO:
Sales Support
•Maintain documentation related to internal control and other required forms such as quotations, price breakdown forms, part pricings.
•Calculate pricings and quotes reflected by cost reductions and customer discounts.
•Assist the Sales Department with scheduling, coordinating, distributing information to other departments, maintaining the data and documents such as pricing histories, variances, customer requirements.
•Support the quotation process and ensure that customers receive quotations which are accurate and timely. Ensure that quotes are adjusted to any material pricing changes. 
•Prepare necessary data and materials for the Sales Department for creating forecasts and conferences.
•Facilitate communication with Japan Headquarters to resolve issues.
•Work in special projects as required.

Expatriate Support
•Provide consecutive or simultaneous translation between languages.
•Assist Japanese expatriates through translation at meetings (internal/external) and translate minutes if necessary.
•Act as a liaison to Engineer and Quality departments, Management teams, and customers for Japanese expatriates who need language and cultural support to communicate.
•Support President and Senior Management with documents, charts, and/or any material needed for submission to Japan Headquarters as well as agendas, reports, memos, meeting scheduling needed with the U.S. teams.
•Serve as the point of contact for President for internal and external parties by answering phone calls, making appointments and maintaining schedules.
•Extend the support to expatriate family members for their transition to life in the U.S. such as apartment accommodations, phone and doctor appointments, flight reservations, social security number and drivers license applications, etc. You may be required to attend appointments with them when the expatriates and family members have language barrier.


QUALIFICATIONS
•Bilingual Japanese and English skills. 
•Working experience in related field is a plus; entry level is welcome.
•       Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with teams and independently.
•       Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 
•       Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred, but not required.
