The job duties of Human Resources Records Specialist will include:
Process a variety of employment-related paperwork and/or input directly into HRIS, including new hires, employee status changes, database updates, employee information, employee separations, and other confidential employee data.
Prepare, update, and organize employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating and ensure files are in compliance with State and Federal Law.
Process personnel action forms. Work closely with cross-functional HR teams to ensure the timely execution of employee transactions and ensure the accuracy of HR information in the system.
Provide excellent customer service and act as point of contact for employees who have routine questions regarding HR policies and procedures. May counsel with employees directly to resolve HR or payroll data issues.
Assist in providing standard letters, system updates and other regular transactional activities.
Respond to inquiries from employees, managers, and external agencies about individual and organization-wide HR information.
Responsible for the On Boarding of new hires to ensure they have completed all new hire paperwork and background clearance prior to starting.
Handle confidential employee and payroll information and assure confidentiality and security of records and information.
Verify and collect all new hire paperwork and perform I-9 verification for new employees.
Complete requests for employment related documents including statements and verifications.
Perform other duties as assigned.
