Job Title : Education / Training Specialist

Location : Sunnyvale

Duration : 1+ year (Contract To Hire)

Primary Function of Position:

l The Clinical Education Specialist is primarily responsible for the presentation of clinical and product information during training programs to improve the knowledge and skills of the sales force.

l The Clinical Education Specialist will also assist the Clinical and Product Education Managers with creating content to address the short and long term education needs of the field.

Roles & Responsibilities:

l Develop and deliver clinical presentations/activities during sales training programs

l Train and qualify Sales Training presenters on clinical presentations

l Work with Education Managers to develop new learning content and evaluations as well as improve upon existing training activities

l Act as a as a clinical subject matter expert for Instructional Designers

l Support current procedure advancement alongside engineering and marketing teams.

l Looking for someone with a blend of content creation and presentation skillso Content creation-basic PowerPoint and MS word skills.

l Soft Skills: heavy cross functional collaboration, will be interacting with all different groups in the companies

l Must be good at receiving feedback and interacting with various groups.

l Learning curve is very steep but there is a long time to ramp up.

l Wants someone who wants to be an educator long term.

l Lots of the material is being developed for Salespeople.

l Ideal is someone who has had clinical experience and is very smart.

l Someone who is good at putting together presentations is important.

l Wants someone who wants to make a career out of this.

l This person will be responsible for training and content development.

Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:

l Background Clinical or Health Science degree preferred

l Marketing degree acceptable

l College degree required

l 1-3 years’ experience in biotech or medical device organization preferred

Experience with adult learning and education:

l Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical disease states, surgical applications

l Looking for someone with a blend of content creation and presentation skills

l Excellent oral and written communication skills

l Proficiency with MS Office applications including: MS Word, Power-Point, Excel

l Experienced multi-tasker; ability to manage multiple projects and successfully meet deadlines

l Must be able to complete 4-5 week internal training course on product functions and applications

l Clinical Content-experience dealing with anything clinical is a strong plus.
