Account Managers serve as the primary contact and trusted advisor for Advantage | ForbesBooks Members. This Account Management role centers around the development of trusting Member relationships and providing persuasive, effective marketing counsel for our ForbesSpeakers business unit. This is to ensure successful execution of the ForbesSpeakers Services in order to position our Members as the primary thought leaders and experts in their industry, community or marketplace.
The ForbesSpeakers Account Manager will facilitate the delivery of all elements of the ForbesSpeakers packages (publicity, digital, and content marketing), driving collaboration, performance, Member retention, and incremental revenue opportunities for each Member involved in the platform.
The ForbesSpeakers platform currently includes two (2) annual Forums (2-day learning events hosted by our ForbesSpeakers Coaches, centered around teaching and growing our Members as Authority Leaders) for our Members. The ForbesSpeakers Account Manager will be responsible for facilitating logistics and marketing materials for these events in partnership with our Coaches. This position manages between 20-30 Members.
Deliver our Members’ marketing plans according to calendar-based key deliverables/contracts.
Ensure Member retention rate of the full term of the contract(s).
Be a Contributing Team Member for meeting and exceeding Team and Advantage | ForbesBook revenue goals.
Drive incremental renewals, upsells and extensions with existing Member Team.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for our ForbesSpeakers platform.
Ensure workflow efficiencies and execution of ForbesSpeakers Forums in tandem with our internal Team(s).
Managing growth and development of accounts in his/her assigned Account Team for the ForbesSpeakers platform.
Maintaining a strong, trusting relationship with Members and serving as their primary contact within the Account Team and our ForbesSpeakers Leadership Team.
Working with internal support teams to ensure sound planning, timely execution, and solid Member relations.
Keeping a frequent and open line of communication with functional Members.
Maintaining awareness of Account Team status, performance dynamics, and conflicts, and conveying any concerns to the CRO and/or division Leader.
Coordinating meetings, calls, and presentations with Members and Coaches as needed.
Contribute to all marketing Materials for ForbesSpeakers sell-sheets and forums.
Ensuring that retention goals are met within assigned Account Team.
Championing ForbesSpeakers brand, driving motivation and conveying our vision and values to all staff within assigned Account Team.
Participating in consultative selling days (ForbesSpeakers Forums, AMBDs; in-person Member meetings) and Member onboarding.
Keeping CRO and/or division Leader informed of the status of his/her Account plans and concerns, as well as involving him/her as needed.

Preferred Skills & Experiences
2 years’ experience in Account Management/Service, Sales, Project Management
or related field.
Strong interpersonal skills, with a service mentality
Demonstrable experience in managing client relationships and proving ROI
Articulate and persuasive writing and speaking skills
Ability to problem-solve; flexible and resourceful
Outstanding attention to detail
Google Analytics certification, AdWords and Hootsuite experience preferred
Bachelor of Arts degree or higher
Experience with G-Suite and Mac Office environments
Marketing/Publishing/Advertising Agency experience a plus
Working knowledge of SalesForce and project management systems a plus

This position is located in our Charleston, South Carolina office. Team Members are eligible for health, dental and vision benefits the first day of the month after thirty (30) days of employment. Eligibility for all other benefits is at ninety (90) days of employment.
