We are looking for a Regenerative Agronomist and Sales Consultant to provide excellent customer service and meet the needs of growers and farmers. Candidates with strong communication skills who can make growers feel confident in AEA's Regenerative Solutions will stand out. Interpersonal skills to actively seek out and engage customer prospects is a must. You will help identify farmers needs, present and answer questions about our products and services and recommend solutions. You should work to satisfy growers' needs and requests, respond to their queries in a timely manner and aspire to deliver a consistent positive experience. You should have excellent communication and negotiation skills and be customer service oriented. Key Responsibilities of Sales/Agronomy Consultant:
  • Build new client relationships
  • Manage existing client relationships
  • Reach personal sales goals to help reach team and company sales goals
  • Constantly evaluate customer needs and build productive long-lasting relationships
  • Consistently touch base with customers and provide ongoing education
  • Interpret multiple types of soil, plant sap, and water quality analysis to identify specific nutritional needs and opportunities coming from the field
  • Create agronomic recommendations and product application guidelines
  • Work to develop forecasting and sales planning for the region
  • Meet team and personal engagement targets
  • Manage sales data collection and reporting using Salesforce
  • Work with department heads to build an exceptional customer experience
  • Work within a collaborative team culture of remotely located team members
  • Research accounts and follow through on sales leads
  • Attend meetings, conferences, and educational training to keep abreast of the latest developments
  • Provide crop scouting and in-field support, as needed, to maintain key accounts
  • Manage personal time and energy consciously and intentionally
  • Constantly solicit customer feedback and testimonials
  • Lead the resolution of any customer complaints
  • Follow credit policies and help manage risk

Key Characteristics for Sales Agronomist:
  • Proven track record of building sales
  • Strong agronomic background, with experience in plant nutrition, soil science or other agriculture-related science- A technical understanding of plant nutrition is essential
  • Bachelor's degree in Ag related discipline, or significant experience in Ag industry
  • Possess or willing to obtain CCA certification
  • Tech-savvy: must have a high-level working knowledge of basic digital platforms
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to travel often with potentially intense seasonal hours
  • Intimate knowledge of agriculture production practices, with a knowledge of fruit and vegetable crops a big plus
